Grade

A manufacturer needs either the approved grade or the maximum working temperature, because temperature drives the grade. Grades carrying an H, SH, UH or EH suffix usually contain dysprosium or terbium, which changes the export path from China.

Origin

Origin is a question about where sintering happens and where the alloy comes from, not where the sales office is. Non-China origin can be a requirement, a preference or not a factor at all.

Timing

Tooling, production, inspection, export approval, freight and customs are separate periods. A single blended lead time hides which of them is the real constraint.

Capacity outside China is limited and concentrated. These are countries with publicly identified manufacturing capacity, recorded from public sources in August 2026. This is not a list of contracted suppliers and does not confirm availability, capability or pricing for your specification.

Slovenia

Established sintered NdFeB production, suited to small and mid volumes.

Estonia

New integrated capacity running from rare-earth oxide to finished magnet.

Japan

The largest producers outside China, strongest on high-coercivity grades.

United States

Several plants in ramp-up, with significant defence and automotive commitments.

Vietnam

Integrated plants under Japanese and Korean ownership.

One established domestic producer plus emerging capacity.

Taiwan

Mid-size producers; confirm which operations are performed locally.

Germany

Established magnet industry; confirm whether sintering is domestic or sourced.

We approach potential manufacturing sources with the same specification for all of them.

You receive the responses in a normalized comparison, with each supplier’s deviations listed separately.

There is no sourcing fee for you. Cardinal is paid a commission by the selected manufacturer if an introduced project results in paid business. Options are organized around fit with your requirement, not commission level.
